"City Remixed" (2005)

City Remixed is based on the internationally known Brazilian film Cidade de Deus (City of God) (Fernando Meirelles/2003), based on the romance of the same name by Paulo Lins. The choreography is set to scores that fuse an eclectic combination of Brazilian rhythms, such as “samba”, “pagode” and excerpts of dialogues from the film with techno/disco music remixed by Brazilian DJs from the original movie soundtrack.
