For a quarter of a century, Armando Duarte has been a tremendous force in the dance field. First in his native Brazil and, for the past 15 years, in the United States, making Iowa City his home and the Dance Department at The University of Iowa his inspiration for endless and unique creativity. His creative work has been recognized nationally and internationally. Now, Armando Duarte is in the fifth year of the development of his own dance company, Duarte Dance Works (DDW).
