UUM ONLINE: A total of 210 foundation students were honoured at a special event called the Asasian Night to Remember, Foundation Studies in Management Programme, 2023/2024 session
According to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan, students are a generation of leaders who are actively developing their potential and knowledge in order to create a bright future.
"At UUM, all of you have gained valuable knowledge, skills, and self-confidence that will propel all of you to new heights. I am confident that this solid foundation will serve as an excellent stepping stone for all of you as you venture into the undergraduate world.
"I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the UUM Centre for Foundation Studies in Management, and it brings me great joy to be among the 210 students of the UUM Foundation Studies in Management Programme, 2023/2024 session, the 10th cohort who will soon complete their foundation studies.
"Congratulations on your exceptional hard work and diligence demonstrated throughout your studies.
"The completion of studies at the foundation level does not mark the end; rather, it marks the beginning of a more demanding and challenging journey. All the hard work and sacrifice made throughout this period of study is in preparation for a brighter future,鈥 he said.
In addition, he also extended his warm wishes for a joyous Eid ul Adha to all UUM denizens.
According to him, Eid ul Adha holds great significance as it commemorates the narratives and sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim A.S. and his son Prophet Ismail A.S.
He said that in the context of education, the sacrifices made during foundation studies are a testament to the same spirit.
"The dedication and hard work invested in attaining academic success is truly invaluable. May the unwavering spirit of sacrifice continue to fuel within everyone as all of you embark on the path of undergraduate education and beyond.
"Additionally, parents who have sacrificed and dedicated significant time, energy, and money have been instrumental in supporting your pursuit.
"They have given their utmost effort to ensure you receive a quality education and accomplish your aspirations.
"Therefore, as we celebrate Eid ul Adha, let us reflect on and express gratitude for the sacrifices made by our parents. Let us strive for success as a way to repay them," he said.
He further stated that the lecturers have dedicated their knowledge and guidance to ensuring that each student receives a quality education.
