CONGRATULATIONS! UUM ALUMNUS IS THE NEWLY APPOINTED DEPUTY INSPECTOR–GENERAL OF POLICE

acrylUUM ONLINE: Putrajaya - Congratulations! Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani who is an alumnus of Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ (UUM) continues to make his alma mater proud when he was appointed as the Deputy Inspector-General of the Royal Malaysian Police, effective 14 August.

His inauguration ceremony was officiated by the Home Minister, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin after obtaining the consent of His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah on the advice of the Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to replace Datuk Mazlan Mansor who retired.

Datuk Seri Acryl Sani, a native of Petaling Jaya, Selangor is a Master of Science (Management) graduate from UUM and he joined the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) in February 1986 as an Assistant Cadet Superintendent of Police (ASP).

He has also held various positions namely Director of the Department of Internal Security and Public Order (KDNKA) Bukit Aman, Sarawak Police Commissioner, Director of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department and Director of the Strategic Resources and Technology Department.

Meanwhile, UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani expressed his elation as more and more UUM alumni were given the confidence to hold high positions in the government, including the newly appointed, Datuk Seri Acryl Sani.

According to him, the appointment not only brought glory to UUM, but it also indirectly boosted UUM's image as the Eminent Management University.

Also present at the ceremony was the Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador.
