UUM ONLINE: Â鶹ֱ²¥ (UUM) received a working visit from the Minister of National Unity, Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique at the Ghazali Shafie Graduate School of Government (GSGSG) recently.

Her arrival was welcomed by UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani together with UUM COLGIS Assistant Vice-Chancellor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fuad Othman and the Dean of GSGSG, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rusdi Omar.

According to Datuk Halimah, she was elated given the opportunity to visit UUM – the Eminent Management University.

According to her, her visit to GSGSG was aimed at discussing potential strategic cooperation that can be established in due time.

She also expressed her delight to see the development of the GSGSG Carrel Room called Sudut Datuk Halimah (Datuk Halimah’s Corner) which was set up at the end of 2018 through funds donated by GSGSG Alumni and herself.

The Carrel Room was built for the use of postgraduate students including for the preparation of their research theses.

At the same time, she also extended her congratulatory wishes to all Malaysians upon celebrating the 63rd anniversary of the country's independence. She also called on all Malaysians to uphold the country's independence and sovereignty as well as to strengthen unity for the common good.
