Life is a very challenging yet rewarding journey that is certainly filled with happiness.

The Tunku Pro-Chancellor, Her Highness Brig. Jen. Dato' Seri Diraja Tan Sri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim Mu鈥檃dzam Shah, the Tunku Temenggong of Kedah said that this was first discussed by Imam Muhamad Al-Ghazali, a well-known Islamic thinker and author in his book The Alchemy of Happiness.

According to her, Imam al-Ghazali reminded that as-sa'adah or happiness was the central concept in Islamic philosophy and one of the main purposes of human life.

鈥淗appiness is a God-given gift to human beings that people need to find and pursue, so I recommend that every graduate always strive to achieve happiness in daily life.

"With happiness, graduates are able to continue their pursuit of knowledge, while serving the community, religion and country and become leaders who practice the 麻豆直播 (UUM) motto of Knowledge, Virtue, Service," she said at the fifth session of the 32nd UUM Convocation Ceremony.

According to her, value-based education was set in the direction of the national education system in line with improved quality, autonomy and accountability.

鈥淭he education ecosystem should be built on three values of love, happiness and mutual respect to make the school a place of fun and a place to instil the love for knowledge.

鈥淏y emphasizing these three basic principles in interaction, graduates will instil and nurture a sense of joy as they go about their lives and be able to perform tasks in more professional and with utmost integrity to the community and the country.

鈥淭he question that arises is what is the best way to achieve happiness?鈥� She said.

According to a study conducted at Harvard University from 1938 to the present, over 80 years, it was found that the major factors that led to a happy life were brotherhood and interpersonal relationships.

According to Dr. Waldinger, a psychiatrist and professor at Harvard Medical School, said the study found a significant relationship between happiness and close relationships with spouses, family, friends and social circles.

鈥淚n short, a good relationship not only brings happiness but is accompanied by good health. It is clear that from this study, we all need each other to create a happy life. This joy will lead us to a more perfect life.

"Therefore, foster closer brotherhood so that more meaningful happiness can be achieved in everyday life," She said.

At the same time, she said human life will be simplified with the help of robots that will manage the day-to-day tasks and tasks of this period known as the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0).

She said that with the advent of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 with the use of these sophisticated smart robots, the brotherhood bond of humanity would become even more important in our quest to maintain happiness and joy.

She expressed hopes that the joy and happiness that graduates from this prestigious Eminent Management University felt today will last and will continue to lead them to excellence in whatever fields they chose.
