INSPECTOR-GENERAL OF POLICE APPOINTS VICE-CHANCELLOR AS THE COMMANDANT OF THE UUM SUKSIS CORPS
UUM ONLINE: Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain has appointed UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan as the Commandant of the UUM Student Police Volunteer Corps (SUKSIS Corps), effective 25 July 2024.
In a document signed by the Inspector-General, the appointment was made in accordance with Section 36(1) of the Police Act 1967.
In one fell swoop, Prof. Dato' Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan was appointed to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of the SUKSIS Police Corps (ACP/KS).
On Tuesday afternoon, the Head of the Kedah Crime Prevention and Community Security Department, SAC Kamaruzaman Elias, presented the appointment letter at the Vice-Chancellor's office.
Commending Prof. Dato' Dr. Mohd Foad Sakdan, SAC Kamaruzaman expressed his hope that the Vice-Chancellor would contribute to enhancing the success of the SUKSIS Corps at UUM.
"I am filled with pride as Prof. Dato' has consistently demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication in fulfilling his duties and responsibilities throughout his service as Vice-Chancellor, leading to his appointment by the Inspector General of Police as Commandant of the SUKSIS Corps,鈥 he said.
He expressed hope that this appointment will inspire other officers to uphold a strong dedication to their duties and exert effort in carrying out their responsibilities with trust and accountability.
