PALESTINIAN AMBASSADOR EXPRESSES INTEREST TO ESTABLISH COOPERATION WITH UUM
UUM ONLINE: Malaysia has always shown solidarity towards the Palestinians who fight for their freedom and the rights of Muslims. They have been continuously oppressed by the inhumane Israeli Zionist regime.
Recently, the Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia, His Excellency Mr. Walid Abu Ali paid a courtesy call on Âé¶¹Ö±²¥.
The aim of the visit was to establish cooperation with UUM in the field of education and international affairs.
"The collaboration is seen as a good opportunity and potential for both parties to work together. Through the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) it will indeed strengthen the relationship of both parties for mutual benefit," he said.
In the meantime, he requested that Malaysians continue to help their Muslim brothers in Palestine in various ways as they continue to live a challenging life until the disaster ends.
According to him, the Palestinians were hard at work to liberate the al-Aqsa Mosque and al-Quds from the shackles of Zionist occupation.
His Excellency also expressed appreciation and gratitude to the people of Malaysia for everything they had done to alleviate the sufferings of the people of Palestine over the years.
His Excellency Mr. Walid Abu Ali also expressed hope that the COVID-19 pandemic would end soon and that everything would be back to normal, so that both parties could work together in terms of education.
During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani welcomed the Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia and expressed his deep appreciation for His Excellency’s visit to UUM.
Prof. Dato ’Dr. Ahmad Bashawir welcomed the recommendations presented and hoped that the international networking would continue and bring about positive impact on the account of excellence in the education field.
Also present at the meeting were members of the University Management Committee.
