Prof. Ts. Dr. Norazah Mohd Suki Is UUM’s Sole Recipient Of The FRGS-MRSA 2018 Research Grant

PROF. TS. DR. NORAZAH MOHD IS UUMS SOLE RECIPIENT OF THE FRGS MRSA 2018 RESEARCH GRANT

After doing UUM proud by becoming the recipient of Malaysia's Research Star Award (MRSA) 2018, fellow researcher from Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Prof. Ts. Dr. Norazah Mohd Suki was selected as the sole recipient of UUM to receive a research grant under the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme - Malaysia's Research Star Award (FRGS-MRSA) 2018.

Prof. Ts. Dr Norazah expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the initiative made by the Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education Malaysia (MoE) in giving due recognition and appreciation to local researchers.

"This grant is a follow-up to the successful production of quality research and scholarly publication which has been successfully published and indexed into a leading international database.

"The grant is a testament of the efforts made by the Higher Education Department, KPM to propel local researchers into the production of quality publications, thereby developing broader global visibility and confidence in Malaysian higher education brands," he said.

She said the grant offered to a total of 13 researchers was based on a research proposal that fulfilled the FRGS-MRSA Guidelines and the research period was only for two years with the ceiling allocation for carrying out research projects not exceeding MYR250,000.

According to her, the grantee should produce at least five original articles in ISI-indexed journals listed in Q1 and must be a Post-Doctoral or PhD Postgraduate Research Assistant in full-time research mode.

Prof. Ts. Dr. Norazah has published more than 300 papers in referenced journals, chapters in books, books and conference papers that described the details of the research activities.  She also coordinates and participates in a number of research projects.

She recorded a SCOPUS h-index of 16, apart from being an experienced book editor SCOPUS indexed, some of her scholarly articles were also published in the Journal of Cleaner Production (Impact Factor: 5.651).

She was also the recipient of Malaysia's Research Star Award last year for the Prominent Topics in Research category  which was presented by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education, Dato 'Mohd Ghazali Abas who represented the Education Minister.
