PROFESSORS URGED TO MAKE UUM THE REGIONAL CENTRE OF REFERENCE
UUM ONLINE: The newly appointed Professors have been urged to assist Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ (UUM) to continue its advancement in becoming the Eminent Management University.
Deputy Dean of OYAGSB, Prof. Dr. Hassan Abu Bakar expressed his heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the UUM Management for the trust commended upon him.
According to him, it was his ambition and desire to make UUM into a centre of reference for management studies in Southeast Asia in the future and he was working towards realizing that aspiration.
"In addition, I also intend to bolster the agenda set by the management and elevate the OYAGSB brand to greater heights," he said.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Nor Hasni Osman, Dean of the School of Technology Management and Logistics (STML), said she was ready to continue to elevate the name of UUM especially in terms of education, consultancy and transportation.
She said she would help the university increase its cooperation with the industry and at the same time respond to the Vice- Chancellor's call to assist in the university's financial creation.
As for Prof. Dr. Nuarrual Hilal Md Dahlan , he believed that with the mettle and determination of the UUM, the denizens of UUM would be able to drive towards the intended goal.
"I hope UUM will continue to grow and become a world-renowned and internationally recognized university, at least in Asia," said he from the School of Law.
A total of six academic staff were presented with their respective letters of promotion to the post of Professor. Letters of promotion to the post of Assoc. Prof. and senior lecturer were also presented at the event which was held at the Presentation of Letters of Promotion to Academic Staff Ceremony officiated the by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato 'Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani at the Senate Room recently.
Also present to receive their letter of promotion were UUM COB Assistant Vice-Chancellor who is also the Dean of the School of Business Management , Prof. Dr. Salniza St. Salleh; Prof. Dr. Nor Aznin Abu Bakar from the School of Economics, Finance and Banking; Prof. Dr. Jamaludin Mustaffa from the School of Applied Psychology, Policy and Social Work.
