STUDENTS MUST SEIZE OPPORTUNITY TO GO ABROAD

Students of Â鶹ֱ²¥ (UUM) are encouraged to seize the opportunity to participate in mobility activities conducted abroad to countries namely as Korea, Japan, Indonesia and Singapore.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani said opportunities were endless for university students to engage in mobility activities that involved  countries abroad apart from  mobility activities conducted in the country.  This would ensure that their minds would be open to different cultures and surroundings abroad.

"We have to change the culture of bashfulness to the smart culture as more and more outstanding students are choosing this campus compared to previously," he said during a meeting with outstanding students who obtained the CGPA of 4.00 at the Vice Chancellor's Meeting Room recently.

He said the recent enrollment of students for the September academic session also proved that UUM had become the first choice university with the increase in students achieving CGPA 4.00 making UUM their first choice when applying for the UPU Online system.

He said many UUM Alumni also managed to make a name for themselves by securing important positions in organisations either locally or abroad.

In this regard, he expressed hopes that these new students will maintain their outstanding performance throughout the duration of their studies here.

Also present were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hendrik Lamsali; Director of Student Affairs Department, Dr. Massudi Mahmuddin; Director of Student Services and Support Unit (SSSU)  Dr. Rajwani Md Zain and Director of Student Development Department, Mohd Ashari Yaakub.
