The Holy Month Of Ramadan Brings Rizq To 20 Academic Staff
This year, the holy month of Ramadan brought rizq to 20 Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ (UUM) academic staff when they received their respective letters of promotion presented to them by the Vice-Chancellor at a special ceremony which marked the launching of the Zakat collection and presentation of the letters of promotion held at the Foyer of the Chancellery yesterday.
Fellow recipient, Prof. Dr. Rusniah Ahmad from the School of Law (SOL) said that after serving 26 years in UUM, she was grateful for being honoured with the promotion.
"I am grateful and aesthetic because this Ramadan has rewarded me with a very meaningful rizq in the form of a promotion to Professor VK7 after serving a long time at this beloved university.
"At the same time, I feel proud and happy to be honoured and I hope that I am able to fulfil the responsibilities entrusted upon me that is to continue to contribute my energy and ideas as a professor to further develop our beloved university" she said.
Another recipient, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khadijah Mohamed who is also from SOL also expressed her gratitude on being promoted to the position of Assoc. Professor.
According to her, the promotion will be a stimulant and will give greater enthusiasm for her to better serve the University in the future especially in elevating UUM's name at in the international arena.
"Alhamdulillah with the rizq (sustenance) given this year especially during this noble month, I will also be attending 15 days of training in Geneva, Switzerland with full sponsorship under the United Nation (UN), the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) , " said Dr. Khadijah Mohamed who is also the Deputy Director of Innovation and Commercialization Centre (ICC).
At the event, a total of 20 academic staff comprising a Professor VK7, 12 Assoc. Professors (DS54), four senior lecturers (DS52) and three language instructors (DG44) received their respective letters of promotion.
