鈥淢ake university the best place to hone soft skills by seizing the opportunity to improve oneself or learn new things as well as skills.

鈥淲ith the presence of international students from various countries, the opportunity to communicate in English is very high so do not be shy and embarrassed to learn because in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, IR4.0, the significance of the industry calls for the urgent need for students to become proficient in English.

鈥淲ith the demands of today's increasingly demanding workforce, I urge all of you to venture into entrepreneurship, an area that is gaining ground today. UUM provides business opportunities for those interested to become an entrepreneur,鈥 he said.

UUM provides My Stage that affords the opportunity to present and share ideas however students need to be responsible in every presentation and not touch on any sensitive issues given the fact that Malaysia is home to a multi-racial and pluralistic society.

鈥淒o not be mere keyboard warriors who are only impressive with their keyboards, but become speechless publicly. The university always takes heed and listens to the grievances faced by students.

He further added that the university was not a place to punish or control students, but students should adhere to all campus rules and comply with the university laws, constitutions and statutes in accordance with the pledge.

鈥淎lways be responsible for yourself and practice good values while on campus.

鈥淟ive according to the motto upheld by the UUM that is Knowledge, Virtue Service and apply the three basic principles introduced by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE), namely love, happiness and respect for each other in our lives so that we can live better lives.

"Take advantage of this opportunity to repay your parents who have sacrificed so much. They have high hopes of all of you becoming the best person in the world and in the hereafter, so study hard," he added.
