UUM ONLINE: "I am proud of the service provided by the University Health Centre (PKU) to all UUM staff and students throughout the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO).

"Not forgetting, the security guards who have worked day and night to ensure the highest level of security on campus," said the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani who was at the PKU where he visited its Emergency Unit yesterday.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all staff particularly to the staff at PKU and the Security Department as well as many other members of staff including the media associates who are working as usual to ensure the peace and security of all parties during the MCO period.

He said as early preparation should the MCO be extended in the future, he had suggested to the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) to provide more sophisticated medical equipment to the University including thermometers, hand sanitizer and face masks that have since become scarce.
