UUM LECTURER APPOINTED AS CHAIRMAN OF THE HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE OF THE IYRES
UUM ONLINE: A fellow lecturer from the Â鶹ֱ²¥ (UUM) Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Assoc. Prof Dr. Noor Sulastry Yurni Dato' Ahmad has been appointed as the Chairman of the Human Resource Management Committee of the Institute for Youth Research Malaysia (IYRES), Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Her appointment by IYRES is effective from 9 July 2020 until 30 September 2022.
"I am moved and deeply honoured by the confidence that Datuk Dr. Marzuki Mohamad, Chairman of IYRES Board of Directors and IYRES leadership have of me in carrying out an important role in developing human resource at IYRES.
According to her, as the Chairman, she will help ensure the seamless running of the management of human resources at IYRES in particular and mobilize the denizens of IYRES in creating a more efficient and the finest governance.
IYRES was launched on 15 May 2005 by Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the 5th Prime Minister in conjunction with the National Youth Day. It was established as a statutory body that acts as a national youth development research centre.
IYRES is responsible for conducting youth development research, analysing current issues, evaluating and providing reference input to stakeholders who are keen on youth development. It also collaborates, coordinates and participates in youth development activities related to research organized by national or international organizations.
