The MoA was sealed by UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan, while MIPFM was represented by its President, PMgr. Sr. Isaac Ishmael.

According to Prof. Dato’ Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan, the MoA involves the mutual commitment from both parties to establish a collaboration in organising the Strata Management Basic course, which will be advantageous to the industry, academics, staff and students.

He stated that the positive implications of this collaboration included knowledge transfer, talent development, driving economic growth, and fostering innovation.

"UUM highly values the role of MIPFM in fostering collaboration and commitment among professionals and private practitioners in promoting the significant role of property managers, stratified property management, asset management, and facilities in Malaysia.

"The role played by the MIPFM can help in the development of UUM students, particularly by giving them invaluable practical experience in managing stratified property development in Malaysia," he said.

Meanwhile, the President of MIPFM emphasised that the MoA will prioritise the exchange of expertise and information in the field of properties and facilities for students.

According to him, this initiative will not only benefit students but also offer valuable insights to industry players, academics, and the B40 community about the importance of nurturing a caring environment to achieve the goal of creating a conducive atmosphere.

He expressed hope for the prompt implementation of this collaboration ideally by October, preceding a series of other strategic programmes.

"In addition to UUM, we have established memoranda with various public and private institutions of higher education that recognise the immense potential of careers in property and facility management.

"Hence, we accept the task of managing buildings and infrastructure in Malaysia to ensure that they remain appealing and increase in value over time," he said.

The MoA ceremony was also witnessed by the Dean of the School of Government, PMgr. Sr. Dr. Mohamad Sukeri Khalid, and Datuk PMgr. Sr. Fidaus Musa from MIPFM.
