UUM PROFESSOR REMAINS IN THE TOP 2% OF THE WORLD'S BEST SCIENTISTS
UUM ONLINE: Prof. Ts. Dr. Norazah Mohd Suki has maintained her position as one of the World's Top 2% Scientists, as announced by Stanford University in the United States recently.
The most prestigious global recognition is based on data released by Elsevier BV, Stanford University in the United States, beginning in 2019.
The Professor of Marketing and E-Business at the Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB) was named for the fourth time in the Single Year Achievement category and the second time in the Career-Long Achievement category.
The two honours indirectly positioned UUM on the global map of scientific research excellence which is a source of pride for both the university and the country.
"Praise be to Allah, I am grateful for this honour and hope to continue spreading the UUM brand on a global scale.
"Being named one of the 'World's Top 2% Scientists' reflects on the research work and quality publications in high-impact journals in the field of marketing and e-commerce," she said.
Having risen more than 1,000 places in the world ranking since last year, she is now ranked fourth in Malaysia in the field of business and economics.
Norazah expressed hope that the success will bring more opportunities for international collaboration and networking as well as serve as an inspiration to all UUM denizens.
To date, Prof. Ts. Dr. Norazah has published over 300 papers with a SCOPUS h-index of 28.
Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah congratulated her on bringing the UUM brand to the world stage and serving as an inspiration for other academics.
According to him, success requires dedication and discipline, as well as honesty and integrity in one's work.
"I hope this achievement serves as an inspiration to all university denizens, and nothing is impossible if we work hard enough," he said.
