UUM Welcomes New Postgraduate Students For The May 2018/2019 Academic Session
Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ (UUM) through its Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Ghazali Shafie Graduate School of Government (GSGSG) and Awang Had Salleh Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (AHSGS) began the admissions process admitting their respective new postgraduate students.
Registration for the new semester began at the respective graduate schools recently.
OYAGSB saw a total of 57 new postgraduate students registering for the May 2018/2019 academic session. They comprised 53 local and four international students who enrolled into the Doctor of Philosophy and Master programmes.
After the registration session, students attended briefing sessions on library services and academic matters.
The academic briefing sessions were conducted by Deputy Dean (Academic and International) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Subramaniam Sri Ramalu; Director of the PhD and D.Mgmt Programme, Prof. Dr. Norazah Mohd Suki; Director of the DBA Programme, Prof. Dr. Nor Azila Mohd Noor; and Director of the MBA Programme, Dr. Chuah Chin Wei.
Meanwhile, GSGSG received 24 students for its various Master and PhD programmes. In total, 21 students who registered were local students and the rest were international students.
At AHSGS, a total of 20 postgraduate students comprising 17 local students and three international students enrolled in the Sintok campus for the PhD and Master degree programmes, while the enrolment for off-campus students in Kota Bharu, Kelantan saw the registration of 19 students and in UUMKL three students registered.
As such, the total number of enrolment at AHSGS came to 42 students. The number postgraduate students will increase with the registration of new postgraduate students who register for the research mode available throughout the semester.
